Bonnie was an awesome filly who had perfect conformation and attitude. She had a tragic accident after weaning in a snow storm at Kimsale farms.

Kinsale's Irish Diamond
2010 IDH gelding
by Lionwood Kinsale's Lad out of Ardvarnock Gem (purebred RID mare)
Kinsale’s Irish Diamond, aka "Irish" arrived in northern Michigan on a warm summer evening in 2012. Just two years old, he was the last horse on the trailer which had made its long way from Virginia. He jumped off quietly, unruffled from the long trip. He settled in quickly, gaining the trust and friendship of two mares and three humans.
He charmed his way into our hearts, as his disposition came to light: smart, funny, kind, calm and curious. A true Irish Draught. He was easy to like. He gravitated toward people, regardless of what they were doing. Fixing the fence? Unloading hay? Picking manure? Irish was right there, nosing around to see what was happening. It was all a whole lot more interesting than grazing.
We started him lightly under saddle his third year, taking him out on long, slow hacks through orchards and fields. He was unflappable. His ground-eating walk, perked ears and relaxed demeanor were a testimony to his breed. He loved to be out, seeing new sights and exploring the countryside.
Irish is everything we had learned to love about Irish Draughts from afar. We are tickled to own an animal of his intelligence and beauty --- it is a lifelong dream. He is light on his feet and loose in his movements. He has been a joy to work with --- easy, fun and a quick study. Our trainer loves him ! We are so looking forward to many, many happy years with this magnificent animal.
